Multiply the number of affected handoffs by the extra minutes per handoff and the hourly labor cost. The result estimates labor capacity at your supplied assumptions. It excludes waiting time, lost sales, customer impact, and implementation costs.
0.0 hours per month at your supplied assumptions.
This is not a prediction of savings or recovered cash.
Use observed inputs where possible
Count the affected handoffs in a representative month. Time the repeated entry, checking, or correction effort for a sample, then use a reasonable typical duration.
Use a labor cost appropriate to the people performing the task. If you only know wage cost, state that limitation. The estimate becomes less useful when every task is assumed to suffer the same problem without evidence.
Capacity is not the same as cash savings
Removing repeated effort may free people to do other work. It does not necessarily reduce payroll or create additional revenue. Some time will still be needed for approvals, exceptions, and operating checks.
Only the avoidable portion should inform the business case. Compare that portion with build cost, software fees, training, and ongoing support before deciding to proceed.
Turn the estimate into a measured result
Establish the baseline and acceptance criteria before the build. After launch, repeat the observation using the same task definition and comparable volume.
