Odyssey Apex connects existing systems around a specific workflow. We define the authoritative record, field mapping, permissions, transfer rules, duplicate handling, exceptions, and recovery before treating the connection as dependable.
One authoritative record for each fact
Before connecting applications, decide which system owns customer details, stock quantities, job status, or financial records. A connection cannot resolve conflicting records without an agreed rule.
We map identifiers and required fields and define when records are created or updated. The system needs to distinguish a new request from a repeated transfer and preserve changes that belong to the operating team.
Connections need controls
A failed transfer should be visible to a named owner. Repeated attempts should not create duplicate orders, leads, or invoices. Sensitive actions require appropriate permissions and approval.
We test missing data, unavailable services, incorrect identifiers, and recovery. If an application cannot support the required connection reliably, the scope should state that limitation before the business depends on it.
Choose the process before the connector
Integration supports the workflow, not the reverse. We retain tools that work and configure them to carry the information needed for the next step. Software replacement is considered only when the existing system cannot meet the agreed requirement.
The output is a working connection with documented ownership, instructions, and acceptance results. Sales, inventory, service delivery, reporting, and finance each have different records and operating risks.
